A business that can't go wrong

For the first time in many years I flew with Alitalia, Italy's national carrier. My country welcomes 36.5 million tourists every year, and Italy is the the most visited country in the world.
Despite these data, Alitalia is broke, and Italian's government is trying to put cash in the business in order to avoid bankruptcy. This is against the European Community regulations as local governments cannot fund enterprises like Alitalia , which needs to be considered as a private business.
The flight I was on was half full ( when i travel Emirates it's an headache even to find business class seats). The average age was of flight attendants was 40, food was average and there was no on flight entertainment.

Alitalia needs to be declared broke, the business needs to be reinvented, and I don t see how it can go wrong ( 36.5 million visitors a year)
